Bell Mobility picks up white HTC Touch
The HTC Touch can be considered an enigmatic device in Canada. See, data rates used to be unfathomable. There were all sorts of stories going around about outlandish bills from Rogers Wireless for what most Americans would consider a temperate use of mobile data. But Bell changed the paradigm up north when they introduced the HTC Touch with a $7 monthly data plan. Now they’re prettying up the device, offering it in a bright, bright white.
Isn’t it purty? I dig the sleek model, though I’m a bit disappointed that it won’t have any GPS hardware. South of the Canadian border, Verizon will be carrying a GPS function on the Touch, which should be available sometime in February.
It’s basically the same device as the regular, gray Touch, offering the Windows Mobile platfrom, Bluetooth, 2 megapixel camera…
It’ll cost you just $99.95, but that’s with a three-year agreement. if you’re not so good with commitment, you can get it for two years, one year, or contract-free, though the price will increase with each level. The no contract Touch is $399.99.
